# 30pitch > 30pitch (https://30pitch.com) is a website with one stage that shows one 30-second video pitch at a time. Founders and indie hackers pay to put their product on the stage; the next person to pay takes it over. It's built as the opposite of spam: instead of pushing promotion at people who didn't ask for it, a product is pitched to people who came to watch pitches. ## How it works - One stage, one pitch at a time. A pitch is a video of at most 30 seconds, recorded on 30pitch itself: a person talking to the camera, or a screen recording of the product with the founder's camera in a small circle. - Anyone can take the stage by paying the current price. There's no account: record a video in the browser (camera, or a screen demo with the founder's camera in a corner), add a title and a link, and pay. Uploading pre-made videos isn't supported. - Every pitch is guaranteed at least 15 minutes on stage. Someone who buys during those 15 minutes joins a line and takes over automatically when the time is up, then gets their own 15 minutes. With nobody waiting, the current pitch stays on until someone buys. - After its time on stage, a pitch stays in the Hall of Fame (https://30pitch.com/archive) with its own page (https://30pitch.com/p/), including its transcript and how long it held the stage. ## How to pitch in 30 seconds 30pitch teaches a four-beat formula on its front page: open with the problem, not your name. - 0–5 s, the problem: "Everyone who [does X] wastes [Y] on [Z]." - 5–15 s, your fix: "[Product] fixes that by [how it works, in one sentence]." Show it if you can. - 15–25 s, the proof: one number, one customer, or a before and after. - 25–30 s, you and what's next: "I'm [name]. I built it because [reason]. Try it at [link]." The recorder has a teleprompter that scrolls your script while you look at the camera. ## Price - Prices are in US dollars. The price never goes below $5. - After each purchase the next price starts 25% above what was last paid. The part above $5 then halves every 12 hours, so the stage gets cheaper the longer nobody buys. - Every purchase moves the price, including joining the line. - The card is only charged if the purchase actually gets the spot. If someone else takes the stage first while you pay, the card is not charged. - You can't outbid yourself, and after losing the stage you have to wait an hour before taking it back. ## Rules - Every pitch is reviewed automatically before payment (video frames, transcript, title and link) and can be reported by viewers; reported pitches are reviewed by a human. - Not allowed: nudity or sexual content, violence, hate or harassment, scams and fraud, anything illegal, malware or deceptive links. - Full rules and FAQ: https://30pitch.com/terms ## Pages - [The stage](https://30pitch.com/): the pitch on stage right now, the line and the current price. - [Hall of Fame](https://30pitch.com/archive): every pitch that held the stage, ranked by how long it lasted. - [Facts](https://30pitch.com/facts): dated key facts about 30pitch, with sources. - [Rules, terms and FAQ](https://30pitch.com/terms) - [Privacy policy](https://30pitch.com/privacy) - [Sitemap](https://30pitch.com/sitemap.xml): every pitch page.
